Need Players for Four Teams - Four Players on each Team

  • (Each team has two Level 1 Players and two Level 2 Players - see guidelines below and website for description)

  • First  16 Players (4 teams) enter play, rest of players will be Sub Players

Team players can be: 

ALL MEN, ALL WOMEN, OR MIXED

Steps to Sign Up

  1. Send an email to melvindhaus@gmail.com to confirm your interest be playing on a Team or as a Sub (Not both).

  2. Indicate Level 1 or Level 2    Your Preference/Assessment (1 or 2 Player Level :  Familiarize yourself with the  Team Play Guidelines below.   Note - If not indicated whether you are a 1 or 2 player level you will be placed on a Team or Sub as needed)

  3. If you wish to form a team, please submit names in email to Melvin Haus melvindhaus@gmail.com for consideration.  

 

SUB Players list is very  IMPORTANT   Please sign up and help the club! 

A Sub Player is a person playing for someone that can’t play that day.

Sub Players  have the same Level qualifications as Team players

        

Playing Format/Scoring (see website “Team Play Standings” for clarification)

Two sets with ads, If split sets 3rd set Seven point Tiebreaker Win by 2

Scoring: 

  • Win 10 points // Split sets 8 points // lost 6 points // 0 Points if team can't play, 10 points to opposite team 

  • Player playing up: Points as above (Player 2 moving up to sub for player 1)

  • Player play down: Win or lose 6 points // other team automatically receives 10 points  (Player 1 moving down to sub for player 2)

Team Play Guidelines - Player Levels         

(SCTC MEMBERS ONLY)  

You determine the level of play you want to play at.

Level 1  ---  Advance player

Above average, HARD  serve and second serve is consistently in

Ground strokes HARD - FAST  returns.

​

Level 2 ---  Intermediate / Beginner

Moderate to slow serve and ground strokes

​

Note !!  Team consists of the same amount of Level 1 and 2 players.

Example:

(Team A level 1 players play Team B level 1 players) 

(Team A level 2 players play Team B level 2 players) 

Note!! SCTC committee has the right to move players up or down for your level of play if needed.
