Results for Tennis Under the Stars 2018 - Men's and Women's Doubles

On a beautiful evening under the stars the Men and Women’s doubles events were contested on March 21st.  Matches were highly competitive with nine sets going to a tiebreaker. 

The men’s advanced doubles was won by the team of John Dykema and John Butta with the team of Dave Ott and John Laski as runner up.  Men’s intermediate doubles was won by the team of John Bernier and Tim Metoxen with the team of Ron Cassidy and Norm Dickson as runner up.  In both cases the difference between first and second was a single game.

The women’s advanced doubles was won by the team of Jeanette Dredge-Jones and Vicky Miller with the team of Nancy Ruddy and Sharon Amer as runner up.  Women’s intermediate bracket ended in a three-way tie for first place.  Since the evening was late (after 9:00pm) they were declared Tri-Champions.  The teams are: Karen Julius and Celene Pickard, Carla Dykema and Jill Briggs and Betsy Olson and Karen Lynch.
